Privacy Policy

2pods.net ("the site", "we") is a podcast recommendation service run as an indie project. This page explains, in plain language, what data we collect and why.

What we collect

Quiz responses. When you take the quiz, we collect the three podcasts you pick and your email address. The podcasts you pick are converted into an embedding vector that represents your taste profile.

Newsletter subscription. If you subscribe to Pod Pair Weekly, we collect your email address through Resend, our newsletter provider. You can unsubscribe with one click from any email.

Anonymous analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to track aggregated page views and basic referral data. It does not set any tracking cookies, does not record IP addresses or user agents in identifiable form, and complies with GDPR/CCPA out of the box. We do not use Google Analytics or any cross-site tracking.

What we don't collect

No location data. No demographic profile. No third-party advertising cookies. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.

Third-party processors

Supabase — stores your taste vector and subscription record. Hosted in the US/EU.
Resend — sends the weekly newsletter and stores your email.
OpenAI — used to compute the embedding from your quiz picks. Your email is not sent to OpenAI.
Vercel — hosts the site, processes inbound HTTP requests, and provides anonymized Web Analytics.
Podcast Index, Apple, Spotify — public podcast metadata; we do not send your personal data to them.

Affiliate links

Some external links (e.g. to listening apps or audiobook services) are affiliate links — we may earn a small commission if you sign up. These are clearly marked as (affiliate). They don't change what we recommend; recommendations are based purely on semantic similarity, not affiliate payouts.

Your rights

You can request to see, export, or delete any data we hold about you. Email info@2pods.net with the request and we'll respond within 7 days.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter directly from any email we send (one-click unsubscribe link in the footer).

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and notify newsletter subscribers in advance.
